La revista apoya firmemente la iniciativa de acceso abierto y utiliza la licencia Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Es una revista de acceso abierto, lo que significa que todo el contenido está disponible de forma gratuita para todos los usuarios y sus instituciones.
Cualquier usuario puede leer, descargar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, buscar, vincular al texto completo de cualquiera de los artículos o realizar cualquier otro uso lícito, sin necesidad de pedir permiso al autor, a la Sociedad o editorial, siempre que sea para uso no comercial, no modifique la obra y el trabajo original sea citado apropiadamente. Esta declaración cumple con la definición de acceso abierto del DOAJ. En el caso de remezcla, transformación o creación a partir del material, o en caso de uso comercial (incluyendo fines regulatorios o de farmacovigilancia corporativa), no se podrá difundir el material sin autorización previa de la Sociedad y el pago de las tasas correspondientes.
Nota sobre cargos por publicación: A partir del primer número del 2026, se realizará un cobro por procesamiento de artículos (APC) de 350 USD por cada manuscrito aceptado.
La revista actualmente trabaja con una interoperabilidad que contempla archivos en lenguaje HTML, XML de uso libre y exclusivo, para fines de conocimiento médico y general.

Todos los artículos publicados tienen asignados DOI proporcionado por CrossRef y se conservan digitalmente en el repositorio CLOCKSS.

Copyright: Acceptance of a manuscript for publication implies the automatic transfer of publishing rights from the author to the Sociedad Chilena de Obstetricia y Ginecología.
